Kids and adults alike love the catchy melodies, approachable lyrics, and wacky themes in Coconut Moon. They want to hear it over and over again, making it prime material for teaching reading and writing. All ages find the vocabulary and songs accessible and fun. 

The package includes 3 teacher booklets: 

   Lyrics: Students can easily learn to read with the easy, fun, large-print words. They rapidly learn the carefully constructed lyrics, and then begin to recognize the printed words as they point and sing along. Students are provided with a framework of "safe, easy" beginning sight words, while being introduced to multi-syllable, enriched vocabulary. 

  Cloze Passages: Students practice decoding, comprehension, writing, parts of language, problem solving, and creativity with beginning and advanced cloze passages of the lyrics.

  Writing: Students develop their writing skills with dozens of activities that accompany each song, including posters, labels, diagrams, letters, recipes, lists debates, poems, stories, labels, brochures, etc.
